So here are the rules, short and simple. Follow them and we'll get along fine.

1. The golden rule (do unto others as you would have them do to you). Be nice.
2. Do not claim that work is your own if it is not.
3. No foul language.*
4. No bashing of other author's works. We are all here to improve.

If you break any of these rules, you will receive a warning via PM and email. If you break the rules a second time, you will be banned from the site.

*If a work of writing that you are considering posting here has foul language, then that is acceptable. If I feel that the content is to mature for our younger members, then I can create a password locked thread that only members of a certain age (and the author, of course, if the author happens to be younger) can view.

Christian: I'm a writer.
Satine: A writer!?

Thought I might like to add a few more specific ones, if I can. I am moderator after all... they're all common sense anyway.

5. Do not post in the Rough Draft or the Final Copy of another member's work. Put everything you want to tell him/her at the Editor's Desk.

6. Members are not to post idle comments of their own work in their Final Copy. They are allowed to do so in the Rough Draft section.

7. If you see a thread for feedback of a piece of work you want to comment on, post in that thread. Do not start another thread for the same work. This is to minimise confusion.

8. Once moderators or admins see the Final Copy of a piece of work put up, they will lock the Rough Draft version, if it exists, unless the member PMs the moderator to leave it unlocked for a valid reason. This is not really a rule, but a reminder.

There will be no punishment in the form of bans for flouting these rules, but the member will be informed and the incriminatory post/thread deleted.
